Why KOYU

The ingredient is rare. What we do with it is the difference.

There will always be tallow balms. KOYU takes a rare Japanese ingredient and pairs it with modern skincare actives, in formulas developed and finished in London. The result is luxury skincare that begins with Wagyu tallow, not tallow that happens to be in a jar.

Wagyu tallow is not an addition to KOYU. It is where every formulation begins.

Formulated beyond tallow balm

A jar of rendered tallow is one thing. KOYU is another.

Each formula pairs it with actives chosen for a reason: peptides, hyaluronic acid, ceramides, botanical oils and antioxidants, a considered blend made to nourish, replenish and support the skin barrier.

    Our hero ingredient. Naturally rich in oleic acid, with Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, it supports the skin barrier, helps lock in moisture and melts at the warmth of the skin.
